Is there a good place to ACTUALLY find factory wiring diagrams that are proper? I've been working off scraps of manual exerpts and other bad info for years. Can someone link me to something decent?
There are several Subscription Services available. ALLDATA, Mitchell and Mitchell1 for DIY'rs, Ford, ect. Some here have acquired many from eBay and such.
Is there something in particular you're looking for currently?
Two things... My front headlights (low beams) don't work. It would be nice to be able to check a fuse. It would also be swell to understand how the bulb harness is wired.
Also just checked out my GPR and it works yet my truck starts hard and smokes like a banshee when it first starts then runs fine. I suspect failed glow plugs themselves but again-- can't find the wiring document.
More importantly there is a ZILLION of these instances that come up and just patch posts are compiled. Is there really not a PDF of the electrical schematic in entirety?
Your right, buy the electrical manual pdf, and you can print the circuit page you are diagnosing. I think someone already posted a link, or soon will. What color is the Banshee smoke?

Well, that one is easy.
Disconnect the harness off at each valve cover.
The center four pins go to the injectors. The outer two pins at each end of the connector go to the glow plugs. And for each, they match front to back.
Glow plugs should each be in the range of 1/2 ohm to 2 ohms.
Glow Plugs:
So I believe I found I have (1) failed glow plug (14kOhm). Would that be enough to cause a hard start with a good deal of blue smoke? Under about 10F I can forget it or crank a lot.
Low beams:
I checked fuse 46 and 47... Both are good. The high beams work great. I checked the bulbs and those are good. Really the only thing left is the multi-switch (the turn signal lever) to fail right?

Either bad glow plug or bad UVCH, have to pull the valve cover to figure that out.
I don't think one GP should have that much effect, but will bow to the opinion of others with greater experience.
Are you cranking as soon as the WTS goes out? You can let the glow plugs "cook" for up to two minutes, they stay on that long even though the WTS light goes out after only a few seconds. See if it starts easier with more time. But you should still fix that one bad glow plug.
