I am toying around with the idea of getting my injectors rebuilt and upgraded to stage 1 - 160cc. My only concern is that I am going to college in the fall and not really looking to screw my mileage, I'm getting about 17 right now, will bigger injectors lower my fuel economy?
Rule of thumb with injectors; if you use them, i.e. demand more fuel than stock would provide, you'll lose mpg. An efficient injector combined with grandpa driving can yield gains though.
I have the ts 6, I have learned how to drive like a grandpa and if I drive mainly at around 55 mph on country roads. I have seen 21.5 mpg on the 75 hp tune.
If you go around ripping everywhere you'll lose mpg, you'll stay the same if you drive sensibly, and may even pick up a little over a work out set of stockers.
But if I don’t drive an idiot it should be okay right? I usually try to keep it under 2000 rpms just to save $. I was going to get bigger injectors because they need to be rebuilt and I figured I might as well upgrade while I’m doing it.

Power and torque are just that. and with a diesel, most of it is generated at lower RPMs
