Identify Tube

I recently bought a '53 F100 with the flathead V8. This tube was in the bed. It looks like a drain of some sort. Can anyone help me identify what it is and where it goes? Thanks.

Very hard to find that draught tube, only on the '53 F-100, cars and older trucks all have the shepherds hook one.
