1953 flathead V8 draft tube routing

So i'm buttoning up the final details on the v8 for the 1953 f100. The motor is from a 51 or 52 so some things are different but so far i've overcome them. The draft tube is giving me trouble because of the "U" shaped front mount used on the 1953. I can figure out how to bring the tube down the front and around the mount. The pre-53 used the water pumps as front mounts so i think that is where my problem is. I can't find a picture of how it should be for the 1953. Anyone help? I attached a picture showing draft tube. Thanks for any help.

Can a muffler shop bend you a piece? But I guess you'd need a sample.

How long will your body man be sick? Do you want to talk to Artie Stevens in McElhatten? I could meet you there.

If you have a Parts Manual on CD, look at the pic of the 8BA in there. It is clearly a 53 (front mount), and has a more or less straight down draft tube. I have one similar to that if it will work.

Thanks Ross, I have a call in to a local guy that i sometimes get parts from. If he doesn't come through and you have the one in the picture i would purchase from you.
I'll let you know as soon as i hear back from the local guy.

Hi Abe, not really sure on the extent of illness but i need to make a decision soon. It's a bit touchy to say the least.
At this point, regardless of what happens it probably won't get done until fall or over the winter. That is why i started messing with the 53. At least enough to maybe be able to pull it into the garage and start working on it.

Hi Blake, I have a draft tube from a 53 F-5 that I won't be needing if you still need one.
