Demco Hijacker
Ordered a Demco 18,000 Hijacker auto slide. Kinda late to ask for any owner’s opinions but anybody here use one and do they work as advertised. Hauling with a F350 SRW 6 1/2 foot bed.

Yep! Been running my 21K hijacker now starting 3rd year. Been a good hitch. I like not worry about remembering to slide the hitch. On my setup, and I've read others with similar issues, is getting the hitch to close all the way when hooking up. I seemed to have solved that by lightly greasing the king pin around the area that the claw goes around it. My theory was that the friction was too great if werent exactly lined up for the jaws to close all the way where you could place the safety pin in the release lever. If you get a little bit of clunking on starts and stops, dont be afraid to adjust the big hex head adjusting bolt in the front to take the slop out.
