1995 351w f250 4x4 : Hey this may be a dumb question but what hose is missing? I pretty well only mess with diesels so this 351 is not my norm but was just looking over my dad's truck today and saw that and sure didn't look right. His cruise doesn't work ether what's the first things to look for? Thanks

No hose goes there, that is an exhaust muffler for the air injection system when it is in bypass mode. Beats me why Ford decided that right on top of the motor would be a good place for it.. especially since they managed to put it down on the side of the motor in the 1/2 ton trucks.

Check the condition of the cruise modulator and all lines/hoses/cables attached to it over by the drivers side hood hinge.
