I have spent bunches trying to get this fixed . I'll be going along fine and then the A/C stops working.....then it comes back on....done this for awhile . Brought to my mechanic a couple times and it was always working . He could never find any problems . Finally it went out again and stayed out . I brought it in and he said after 3 hours of going over the system they were standing around about to give up when a guy put his hand on the low pressure cut out switch and it quit . Start moving it and it went on and off . He was convinced that was it...replaced the switch...$27....
I left with the truck heading out of town and guess what...stopped working...went for 3 hours before it came on......then after about an hour...stopped...to me it's acting like something loose....bad connection something . Any ideas would be greatly appreciated . The hours it's spent in the shop is adding up.

Found the answer on here...I posted the same question in Aug.2017....after some searching I found the same question....the answer seems to be shims behind the clutch plates......need to measure my air gap.....but from what I read this should be it ! I did try the relay..

Thanks All.....
Yes check the air gap first. Also verify the clutch is still usable. The last one I did required all the shim to be moved to close the gap into spec. After that no issues.
