Patrick I'm pretty jealous my camper is out of winter storage and ready to be de-winterized and I have to repair a leaky roof before we can go out but we have nothing schedule till memorial day.

Congrats on the upgrade, a 17 would be nice but not in the budget for awhile ours is an '03 and overall in good condition its just starting to show its age with some maintenance items popping up. Enjoy the new camper and most importantly have fun and relax.

Ours was too, plus it was too small for our crew of 3 dogs and two kids!! The old one didn't have any slides and just got too cramped..

Ahh yes I can see how it would be a little cramped with dogs and kids. This is our 2nd camping season with my son and the wife and I have already decided that if we decide to have more kids that we will need to upgrade to something with a bunk house as ours would be to cramped with 2 kids sleeping on the couch & dinette.

Yup, we did the same...Velzen1 was a little 17 footer with everything in one room, Velzen2 was a 27 footer with triple bunks and a front bedroom, now Velzen3 is 38 footer with 3 slides, a front bedroom, and a "party" room that has 4 bunks and a dinette. We could "sleep" about 10 - 12 if we HAD to... but it is still very comfortable with the 3 dogs and two kids (even if each kid brings one friend).

Our 5th wheel is 32' long with 2 slides 1 being the front bedroom and the other being the dinette and couch. If we where to remove our recliners we could sleep more but we got a good deal on this one and figured we will use it until we can't use it anymore or until we find another great deal.
