Hey guys, I'm Ryan. I own a 1978 Ford F-250 with a Cleveland 351 small block with a Holly 4-barrel carburator on it.
My recent problem is that my passing gear wind activate. The Kickdown linkage will only connect when the arm is pulled back all the way. The car shop made a extension that just flopped around and made the passing gear kick down to early. Now I took that out and attached it directly like it's supposed to but it needs to be pulled back all the way. Do idk what the issue is When I press down all the way in the gas it doesn't drop down tho. I'm wondering if it's supposed to be equipped with a cable now since it's not a 2bbl carb like what it came with.

Holley makes a kick down extension for this, Link to Holley's Site it has 2 small tabs to keep it from flopping around.
I have an extension a shop fabricated when they installed the 4 barrel carb. I think I just needed it to stay in place. Thanks for the help! I got the info I was after.
