I believe this "fender to cowl seal" is on the wrong way. I've seen this on many restored trucks, but not on originals. Much has been written on this in the past. - Bob

I don't think so, Bob. The way it's formed, almost impossible to go any other way. It slips over the flange on the fender. Could it just be that repro looks different than original?

I've got the Bob Drake seals on mine, went on OK, and look like the originals - wide side of the seal toward the cab. I did mine sometime in the early 80's. I have a new set on hand from 2015 - I'll look to see if they're made differently. - Bob

Op question reposted we get off subject do we have any pic of this cork anti-squeak and I did have a hard time with the cloth type
