I have two front fender braces that attach to the rad support on my 52 F1 that I cleaned up and painted 10 years ago and stuck in the attic. I pulled them out the other day to test fit a fender and noticed that both braces are the same. I thought they would be mirror images of each other as one goes on each side. I looked at a diagram off www.vanpeltsales.com and it shows the same part and number on each side. I have torn apart 2 other trucks since then but can't remmember and didn't take enough pictures of the braces but it seems a little strange to me. Do I have two braces for the same side or are they made to fit on both sides.
Anyone have a good picture of the front braces attached to the rad support.
Seems a little strange, I quess it makes it easier to make the parts.
I had two other sets that were in perfect condition and basiclly gave them away then I relized that I may need them, well if that is the way it is suppose to be they should fit.
If it makes you feel any better, I thought the same thing....that it was strange for them to be identical and not specific to a side. Of course, when I got my truck it was already taken apart so I'm having fun trying to figure out how it all goes back together.
I have no one to blame but myself as I took the truck apart myself but it was along time ago. It is a real challenge figurering out where everything is and how it goes on.
