Finally got the F150 step brackets installed today. Now the steps look clean and flush with the body, and they don’t look like an after though. The best money I’ve spent on this truck so far. Love the new look!
I must be in the minority... I like how the super duty steps come from the factory. Much easier to step in with boots on since my foot can use the entire step and go under the truck as opposed to next to the truck.
I agree the closer steps look better, but these trucks are high enough that I really like the functionality of the lower steps. Think I'll be leaving mine alone.

I agree. These trucks sit high enough, plus I've put tires on that are 2 1/2 inches taller than the factory tires. My boards extend further back so that I could stand on them to access the front of the bed if needed. I'm happy with the original mounting system.
I put them on and took them right back off after the first snow. Slush builds up and freezes on the boards and then good luck with opening the door without damage to the bottom of the door. Also my workers and I wear boots as my trucks are Work trucks and I don't want to have them or me to have to think about positioning our feet right to get in the truck. Back to stock.. I have a bunch of the brackets left if some one wants to try them but local, I'm in NOVA. Shipping was $$ for what they cost.
Ive had the F150 steps and brackets on mine since day one. I love em. Tucked up nice and tight and just the right height for me. I don't get in or out of the truck without using them. I don't get slush build up on them because I have the WT mud flaps that block most of that crap.
Like others have said it looks good, but not functional like the factory setup. With it that close to the rocker might as well not have a step and I came see it being more of a pain with boots on. Our medics and some other trucks at work have very close steps and it’s very awkward to get in and out of the cabs. Mud, snow and ice build up is another good point.
Looks good but but I’ll keep mine stock height. And too pricey for me lol
don't the f150s just use 4 brackets? I bought a set of 2017 f150 grey takeoffs with brackets I need to get rid of but ended up getting the amp power steps, they just use 2 mounts on each side also.
Looks great! When I purchased matching running boards for my truck off eBay, I didn't know they were sending F150 brackets. However, now that I have them I do like the tight look it offers.
