Ok so after fixing those cables truck ran great for a few days. Then started running rough and dieing. Had rocker stud break again replaced that and still runs rough. Missing pretty bad. When you floorboard the gas petal it seems like engine dies or cuts out but when you release it comes back. If anyone has a clue where to look on this it be awesome. Thanks
Sounds like a fuel delivery problem. When you floor it, you re introducing a lot of air, there should be fuel to go along with it. If no fuel, it coughs and sometimes it will backfire through the carb and try to stall. Close the carb cuts all that air off and it reverts back to running ok.
I just came across your other thread where you had electrical problems. Do you have a good blue spark? Make sure you have about 8 or 9v at the coil + when the engine is running.
No this time it's different. As above comment stated when you floor it the engine sounds like it cuts out and sounds like someone blowing air learning to whistle. Let off gas and motor comes back.

Okay, thanks. I had been wondering if the root cause of the original misbehavior had somehow returned, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Ok Franklin2 I checked that voltage it was at 2.4 nowhere near where you said it should be. I also noticed while trying to test it slight movement of wires would cause truck to die. Once truck died I wiggled slightly to see what it would do and seen slight arcing. Tested my coil and it's safe. So now where do we go from here? Replace the electrical plug?

Sounds like a good idea. They sell the horsehoe coil connectors at the store, and they sell the ones for the square coils also, I just replace that one on my 86 ranger.
Ok. I found the duraspark ignition system online for $150. Would it be better to just replace the complete wiring system? Or could I get by with just that horseshoe connector?

I have forgotten what engine and what you are working on? I have never seen a complete system for sale, do you have a link to it? If you had a computerized six, you might consider replacing the whole thing.
If the problem is at the coil, why not spend $3.95 at Autozone and see if that helps it. Part number 252. Looks like they may have to get it from their warehouse.
Yeah I'm finding everyone locally has to order it. And I definitely hope that's the only other problem. If not I may just go through the whole wiring system with a new harness if I can even find a complete harness for the whole truck. Cause let's face it tracking down short circuits isn't a fun task.
