e40d overdrive button
when truck is in park overdrive light is on. when i put it in gear light goes off. when going down the road the button works fine trans has all gears. has anyone had this happen. thanks for any info.

The wires to the shift handle have worn through the insulation. If you remove the plastic cover from the steering column you can inspect the wires where they enter the shift handle. That's probably where the problem will be found.
