65 short bed frame

So I'm about to purchase a 65 short frame and rear end for $200 to finally get started on my 63 truck restoration! I just wanted to know if there are any differences in a 63 body and 65 frame. I'm pretty sure everything should match up no problem, but I just need to reassure myself. Is the short bed stepside bolt pattern different from a fleet side? Is there anythin else I should look at?

PS. It's been 5 years since I did anything to my truck after wrecking it so I'm just nervous and excited about buying this

Fleetside and Stepside are Chevrolet terms.

1961/64 F100 2WD frames are different than 1965/66 F100 2WD

1961/64 F100 2WD's have a solid front axle with leaf spring front suspension. These trucks have a large cab step visible when the doors are opened.

1965/66 F100 2WD's have Twin-I-Beam front suspension with coil springs, there is no cab step.

1961/64 F100 2WD's use a completely different engine mounting system than 1965/66 F100 2WD's.

Lol I actually didn't know that about the terms ahah thought they were the same. I do know about the front suspension but I plan on changing it anyways. I have a volare subframe already. I just want to transplant my cab and bed to the 65 frame. And I'll be swapping the sub frame for disc brakes. I just want to know if the can and bed will bolt on with out modifications and if any I'm hoping not much mods.

The V.I.N. of youe 63 is on the frame. Swapping to the 65 might cause you registration problems.

The 65 and 66, F100 and F250 2WD, and 66 F100 4WD have different front cab mounts than all of the others.
Or another way to remember it, any truck with front coils springs, has front cab mounts that are different from trucks with leaf springs up front.
