Chrysler 413 getting the boot!

Hi guys, I’m fairly new here, but have been lurking around in the background for a little while.
Just throwing up a post to say hi and share what I am up to with the 59.

Things escalated this morning...

whas just going to take the hood off in preparation for engine removal, next minute, the engine crane came out and we were in business.

Result - 413 Chrysler out!

Next - 272 y block going in... however the previous owner hacked the front engine mount to pieces (to fit oil filter in)
so i will have to source another one and weld it in.

Thanks Numberdummy, that’s handy, just ordered my front engine mounts using those numbers!
oldblue, yeah the 413 is a bit of a donk.
joes99 thanks for the offer, I just found a pair locally.

Hi Greg, yeah I’d imagine it would have some value to the right person, however unfortunately it isn’t a 440 which everyone looks for.

im in Australia, so I’d imagine these engines aren't plentiful. One of my mates always says- if you have room store it.

Great advice I’d say😁👍

As an unfortunate result of the evolution and consolidation of automobile manufacturers, that heavy, old 413 is technically now a FIAT. Who would have thought?
