Good afternoon! I noticed you're looking into some retractable covers, I see a lot of members have listed some recommendations and I figured i would offer some assistance as well. One of the best retractable covers on the market right now would be considered the Retrax models. Retrax offers quite the line up of which consists of both poly carbonate models as well as hard aluminum. They are considered the " New school " design if you will. A few key points of the Retrax models is that they can be locked in ANY position along the bed, they operate on sealed ball bearings (Smooth operation and you never have to worry about dirt or grime building up) and they come with a lifetime warranty. If you're looking for a hard aluminum option, you would probably be more interested in the RetraxPRO MX. This model features a matte black finish and can support up to 500 lbs. across the top. I've included a link below if you're interested in taking a look. Feel free to ask any questions you may have!

just ordered my F350 Platinum last night, SRW short bed, 6.7. This question may be more for the towing forum, but I will be using a PullRite 18K slider on factory pucks. Does anyone know if the roller cover provides enough clearance when towing? I too was looking at the aluminum slatted version from dealer, unfortunately I don’t know the brand. Any recommendations would be helpful.
I selected the Ultragroove over the American Roll. I was torn between the two but cost won out since I found them very comparable. The Ultragroove ended up being about $250 cheaper when it was all said and done. That being said, I think I would be happy with either model.I will report back once I get it on the truck with my review.
Looking for a cover that is removable when i use a slide in camper. like the Retrax Pro MX but not sure how easy it goes on and off? BaKFlip or Revolver are other options. Looking for anyone that has experience with taking these on and of. thx.

I ended up with the revolver x4 for exactly that, when I tow my horse trailer I just rolled up and no needs to be removed

I have the same requirement listed by this users. I would like a cover that when removed doesn’t leave anything across the back window of the truck. I can deal with an addition down the bed rails.

Are there any options that are easy to remove?
With the revolver you have almost full view of your back window when isit retracted, about 6"-8" above bed Wich it's almost the same of the rear seats
