Caliper froze up on reaar passenger side... outer pad was almost like new.. inner pad and rotor destroyed... had to get all new components.
so.. I initially thought I was having an issue on the front drivers side. I inspected, bled whaat looked to be one big air bubble out of the system .. reassembled.. went to go for a test drive and the brakes locked up but only in reverse. Perplexed I said "WTF"... turns out not the front at all..
now with all fixed up, the truck pulls to the right when stopping.. WTF ?
If you could drive it around and work the brakes a bit then check your brake temps with an IR thermometer it should identify where the problem lies, then you could start to trouble shoot it.
I will keep an eye on it. Thanks for the pointer. There appeared to be good flow to the caliper.
The interior of the hose collapses and doesn't allow fluid to leave calipers, then the caliper hangs up and causes the vehicle to pull to one side. You can't see a bad hose if the interior collapsed...
Just a heads up I live in a fairly large city and there were no Motorcraft brake hoses in town for my truck, only some Chinese ones and even those were 100 miles away for both. I ordered Motorcraft from Autonation and waited a week.
