I currently have 02 f250, V10 4x4. My brake line coming out of abs pump and runs to the back of the truck has a hole in it. The fittings that go into the top of pump don't seem to be a standard brake line fitting, my question is are these a standard fitting that you can get at a parts store or is this a special type of fitting from ford? Can the pump then be bleed like doing your brakes or is there something special that has to be done to get the air out?
Not sure on the fittings themselves, so you’ll have to do a bit more digging on that. When I replace all my brake lines I’ll be cutting the fittings off and reusing them as much as possible. And making the flares with a tool. Plan on using nicopp
, but we’ll see. Head over to the excursion tech section and check out the brake posts there. I’m pretty sure there’s a writ up on how to bleed out the ABS pump. Probably one in the super duty section as well, but I didn’t see it in my quick review just now. Tech folders here are wonderful. Check’em out and good luck!
