Hunt for an Excursion
Just one red flag after another. It may have been a very clean Ex, but they did not deserve my money. The hunt goes on. There is a V10 in PA I might take a look at. Im currently down on Florida on Vacation seeing family. I tell you what, the rigs down here sure are clean as all get out.
If you ask for brake pedal and hitch receiver pictures the usual 100k and 200k parts exchange receipts it gets very quiet.
So for all the 200k and 250 plus k mile vehicles all suspension rubber is often due.
I got lucky with a low mile 98k last year trading even my 2010 RAM 2500 at 80k. My Exc previous owner had International harness, injector, glow plug ctrl installed. I did all the fluids, EGR, oil cooler from Rudies in NC and Extreme Diesel stock Garrett turbo. Runs like a school bus engine pulling good.
New brake calipers front and rear with pads last months. Pistons were rusty and sticky. Same happened around 120k miles on our F250 7.3.
If you are an able maintenance guy or girl, with all the forums info, the International complete service and Ford partial service manuals, you are in good shape. Just like your Exc Mule behavior and try not to make a Jaguar out of it with "chips the crap out of the engine" action. LOL
