Picked Up A 2015 Sport

Hey guys, long time member, but just got into a 2015+ F150. Picked up a '15 Sport last night and was playing around with the radio and stuff. It has the big touch screen, and I was looking for navigation on it and I don't see it anywhere. I do have a option when I go to the "Information" section that says "Where Am I" and I get a latitude and longitude but that is it. Do I have navigation just lacking the Map SD card or something? I also noticed that my washer fluid doesn't squirt. Just thought it was empty till I got home and it was about full. It was late and I didn't mess with anything. Anyone have any input on this stuff?

Thanks guys.

Not all of the F150`s with the big 8 inch touch screen have navigation but there are a couple of companies that offer the factory navigation upgrade if that`s what you want. .

As far as your washer fluid problem goes, sounds like you may have a bad pump. A few owners have had the same problem so you can do a search and read up on how they fixed it.

Have a great day.

No need to feel bad about the navigation. You more than likely have the MFT system which does not even support Android Auto or Apple CarPlay so the next best thing for you to do is just go with a nice double DIN aftermarket head unit that supports AA and CarPlay. AA you can use Google Maps or Waze and CarPlay uses Apple Maps and these navigation services are more up to date and are always updated whereas the factory navigation is not updated as often.

You can use the navigation in your phone or you can even get navigation in the new head unit. The Kenwood head units use Garmin navigation.

Hope this info helps you out.

I will have to play around and see what I have and what I can do. I know if I go to the information quadrant I have a couple options for connecting a phone and I think there is some option there as well for turn by turn nav through the phone or something.

Does it show the map on the screen or just gives you the turn by turn audio?

If you do some deep searching on a few of the F150 sites you can figure how to add factory navigation to your MFT system without having to add any hardware other than the maps SD card.
I was able to do it on my 2015 XLT 302A. And, if you get that far, then it will lead you down a rabbit hole of stuff you can do.

Im already checking that out and ordered a card and have the ODBC Wifi connector. Downloaded all the files and have them all set to go. May try it tonight.

How did your install go? Looks like its something that would take under a half hour.

Sweet! Yeah, the install went perfectly. Took about 25-30 minutes (I was using only one USB drive) and not one glitch in the install. I went with an A8 maps card.
I will say though that the factory nav is a bit slow but I'm ok with that.

After I added nav, I ended up adding Hill Descent and factory Trailer Brake Controller too. Easy peasy with the software.

Now, I'm getting the parts together to add the tailgate handle LED for the hitch (I forget the actual name of it).

Cool, I got the A8 map card too, should be delivered today. Ive ready that the nav is a bit slow, but im mainly interested in just seeing a map and where im at and the roads coming up, not real concerned with turn by turn.

I hope it goes as smooth as yours. Do you have the 8" screen or the smaller screen?

I have the 8" MyFord Touch screen (Sync 2). And like you, that's the exact reason why I added nav, I just like to have the map up while I'm driving and don't really need the turn by turn.
