X2 I miss spoke, blue is oil being burned, white/ grey fuel.

Granted this his is a commercial but explains smoke in a diesel rather well. Keep in mind our trucks are almost 20 years old they are going to smoke more than anything new on the road today. Have you done a buzz test on your injectors to make sure they're all firing?

So I did a CCT test with the ForScan Lite app and this is what came up

P0269 - Cylinder #3 Contribution/Balance

Diagnostic Trouble Code details

Cylinder #3 Contribution/Balance

This DTC may be caused by :

Internal engine components

Possible causes are:

Fuel Injector

Valve train assembly

Compression rings

Refer to the vehicle Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) Manual for specific diagnostic steps.

Note: The A/C must be off when carrying out the KOER cylinder contribution test.


P0284 - Cylinder #8 Contribution/Balance

Diagnostic Trouble Code details

Cylinder #8 Contribution/Balance

Follow the routines in the service manual to resolve the DTC listed.


P0541 - Manifold Intake Air Heater Circuit Low

Diagnostic Trouble Code details

Manifold Intake Air Heater Circuit Low

This DTC may be caused by :

Open circuit.

Short to Ground

Possible causes are:

Harness wiring

MIAH Relay

PCM

Inspect connectors for signs of damage, water ingress, corrosion, etc.


P0640 - Manifold Intake Air Heater Control Circuit Fault

Diagnostic Trouble Code details

Manifold Intake Air Heater Control Circuit Fault

This DTC may be caused by :

Open circuit.

Short to Ground

Possible causes are:
