Oh yeah for sure, at most the tcase will have to be swapped onto the "new" trans, other then that they're identical I think. I was more worried about the computer aspect of it. I have no clue what years Ford changed stuff (if it at all). The only real experience I have with electronic transmission is Chevys and for a while they were changing stuff yearly.

There was an electrical change in '94 or '95. Keeping the transmission range sensor, and solenoid pack with the vehicle they came out of is the solution. The electrical connectors are physically different between the change, so a newer style part wont fit the older wiring harness, and vice versa.
