hello, im helping my brother in law out, he was going down teh road and his truck started to shudder a little then started blowing trany fluid out of the front. needless to say he believes he needs a new trans. he currently has a 94 f150 4x4 with a e4od. he has located a 95 bronco with a e4od but is being told by the salvage yard that only 92-94 will fit. they are bothe 302 engines. is there a big diffrence or is it connector i could help him with thanks in advance. giovanni
I think it is just the electrical connector on the TR sensor. There is something in the new TR sensor kit to adapt to the older transmissions.
The 95 E4OD is a much better transmission than the 94 and will stand up much better.
EDIT:
He may have to use his old tail housing as it may be different on the BRONCO.
I think there is an adapter for the TR sensor.
Read my edit above as the back perch holes for the motor mount may be different and the transfer case may bolt on different.
THANKS, it already was changed under warranty by ford, so i think the other harness was installed, so it should work right. the cross member is not a big deal, please let me know
sorry, finished half thought, i was asking if i match the harness and tail shafts, it should work correctly. thats what i was asking, sorry again for the confusion
Yes as long as the output shaft is the same length.
If not you will have to take it all the way down and swap output shafts.
If the output shafts are not the same I would not buy it.
