Labored hot start

1995 F150 5.0 V-8 . She starts great when cold , runs all day with no issues . Turn off truck for any length of time up to 3 hours , try to start and she acts like she is starving for fuel. I try to accelerate and sometimes she pops back thru intake , sometimes she dies , and sometimes she will just keep missing and idling at 300 rpm. Turn off and just turn key to run for a couple of minutes , then go to start and she starts and runs all day with no issues I only use the front tank , as in when I use the rear tank , it fills up the front tank..

Has engine been rebuilt? possibly a valve sticking open, hookup vacuum gauge next time at hot start issue.

268,000 and all original fuel pumps . Have changed filters , IAC , EGR valves as p.m. only . Along with O2 sensor a couple of times , but not for this issue. This issue just started about 4 months ago and is getting progressively worse.

Considering the miles on the pumps and you saying it feels it is starving for fuel, a fuel pressure test would be in order.
A weak/bad fuel pump can be intermittent.
