When i start it up it real rough like barely staying on, it will either just turn off or take awhile to get into idle, i clean the intake senor and that didn't help, so what could it be?
Does it happen on both gas tanks? Try one then the other, each on a cold start. My truck will do this as well but only on the front tank. Its like the check valve in the fuel pump doesn't hold pressure when the truck is not running and all the fuel backflows into the tank. So when you go to start it the fuel pump is having to refill the entire length of fuel line before there is enough fuel pressure for the engine to run properly/at all.
Once my truck runs on the front tank for a minute or two it works great after that. To get it to start I turn the key to the "on" position (i don't turn it over) and wait to hear the fuel pump relay make its "click" sound (about 3 or 4 seconds?), then turn the key to off, and repeat the last step. I do this about 5 or 6 times and it usually will start normally. Oh and I never got the check engine light on for it. Never needed to "run the codes" to figure it out either (makes me sound arrogant as hell, don't mean to be), I've just been taught the old fashioned way.
Good Luck, Mitch
