Hi all, has anyone with a 2017+ possibly a model within a couple of years has issues with fueling and the gas pump filler clicking OFF?
I have a 2017 6.2L 4WD and while fueling, the gas pump filler will click off as if the tank is full, but it is not.
It is pretty consistent if filling up fast and will click off within a few seconds.
If I fuel very slow, this usually works but of course, it takes a long time to fuel up.
Occasionally, this does not work and I can only put in a pint at a time...
I've tried various fueling stations etc... so it is not any particular pump.
During my oil change at the dealer; I asked them to look into this issue but they reported they could not find anything.
I've read here on the forums about issues with the evap canister etc... but it seems like this affected much earlier year models.
So, before I start pulling apart the fuel filler and canister, etc... I thought I'd see if anyone has this same issue and has resolved it...

Happened to me on my first fueling a little over week ago. 2018 f250 platinum. Filled it up 3 times and had the issue twice. It was at a wawa pump and the attendant said it happens with some trucks on occasion
Used to happen all the time on my '17 F-250 and it didn't matter what the position of the pump was. Really annoying. Read the owners manual and it said to insert pump to first ring and go. That didn't make much difference either as the pump would run for a minute then shut off. For some reason unknown to me it just stopped doing it and I haven't changed the way I fuel up.
Could be a bad nozzle but majority of the time it is the gas tank vent line that is plugged up (debris, spider webs etc. If it is not vented freely, it will believe the tank is full and keep clicking off.
