What is it?
This is mounted under the dash to the left of the steering wheel. Any ideas what it is?

Unscrew it and see if there is manufacturer information on the back, then just google it.

I'd bet two bits that it's a starter interrupt device installed by a tote-the-note dealer or sub-prime finance company that will disable the vehicle if the payments on the loan aren't made.

It looks like there is an LED in the end of it.

when the wife starts her stuff

ya just push that button, she will be ejected and will have to run-along the side of the truck.......
