I have a set of 31x10.50r16.5lt tires on my truck, where can I find replacements or how many of you guys went a different route with new wheel and tire ??
I have a secondary set of 245-75-16 but I need hubcaps for them as they are the original wheels for the truck the 31x10.5 came on the truck. any advice helps thanks
I just recently got lucky and bought a brand new set of 9.50 x 16.5. Firestone Transforce. Once in a while they run some off. There might still be some in a warehouse . I am in Canada and there was 10 or so at a warehouse near Toronto
16.5 tires for a good price are like hens teeth. Most folks upgrade to more common size 16" rim, that way you have a larger selection of tires for a decent price.
Unless you have an outlet for 16.5"s cheap, I'd swap to 16" - WAY easier to come by relatively cheap. Not sure what all came from the factory, mine were all 7.50-16s by the door sticker, but 235-85R16's can be had reasonable - last set was around $120 each, no-name "mud-king" gripper tread. I think 245-75s are supposed to have a slightly wider rim, by maybe 1/2"?, but they'll work fine too, seen it done. 16" rims that'll work with factory hubcaps are easily attainable, same-same into the '90's (other than possibly width, but works with that size, unless you're going for a factory correct resto). None of mine are nice enough to go that route, and I have an affinity for the '90's factory Alcoas, so you can guess what all mine have.........
