I have a 2001 f-250 7.3L 4wd. I am in the process of replacing the front axle u-joints and the drive shaft u-joints. I have a single piece drive shaft ( no carrier bearing) with two u-joints. I purchased the Spicer 1410 series u-joint for the rear drive shaft and this fit fine. For the front of the drive shaft u-joint I purchased and installed the Spicer 1350 series u-joint. After installing it I noticed the u-joint can slide up and down, which I dont think it should be able to do? It seems like I may have the wrong u-joint size for the front drive shaft and upon further research it looks like the Spicer 1350 u-joint is for the two piece drive shaft. Does the single piece drive shaft have a different u-joint size than the two piece? If so does anyone know the proper size. I tried researching this and have had little luck. Any help would be appreciated. I attached pictures as well.
I know this is poor answer,If You can find a Auto Parts Person with experience,They can spec out U-joint by dimensions from Your old one.Otherwise bump to top.
Looks like the 1350 is for the front driveshaft. Depending on if you have a Dana 50 or 60 will determine if you need a 1350 or SPL55-3x for the axle shafts.
