Front driveshaft
So just a quick question, would the front drive shaft from any 80-96 f150work on my 82?
I was wheeling this weekend and I don't know where it happened but something slashed through the metal on my front shaft close to the u joint near the t case and bent it. I was just creeping along on a flat part of the trail and them boom! The whole thing came out.

Can't comment on six banger drivelines, but all V8 trucks will have the same shaft aside from small block ZF5 trucks. IIRC the front shaft is 43.5" for C6/NP435 + NP208/BW1345/BW1356 and ZF5 small block front shafts are 48". Bottom line, just measure yours and go find one that's the same length.

Thanks for the tip. I went to the junk yard and got a front shaft from a truck with the same drivetrain as mine. Heres a few shots of my broken shaft. Still don't know what I hit.
