I am tackling the dreaded Coil Packs and Plugs on my 2007 F150 5.4 3V.
I am using the newer SP546 version plug and have new Moto Coils (DG511) to install and will follow the great advise I found here on the site.
My issue at the moment is that while removing the coils last night I found that the #4 (which was the Cyl throwing errors) wire harness was damaged. It's either rodent damage or was rubbing in there (I think it was rub). Either way one of the two wires that goes to the #4 connector is totally trashed and not salvageable, I need to find a pigtail to replace and splice into the harness.
I am having a terrible time trying to come up with the correct part anywhere... I spoke to Ford Parts online and was told that pigtail kits have to be special ordered from a dealer. Total nonsense...
Does anyone know the correct Moto part number for the replacement pigtail kit or an aftermarket that is decent quality and fits correctly ?
