Cab weight

Hi, what does a bare cab weigh off a 67? I am close to getting ready to separate the cab from the frame and was curious how many people I would need? I have a winch on the ceiling that is used to pull the top off of my wife's 4 door wrangler, but I fear that A) the cab will weigh more and B) that it will mess up the cab lifting it that way.

Use nylon straps with your winch to not mess up the cab or 4 people period. But if you do a search, you will find a lot of people favor using an engine hoist hooked to or below the floor accessed through a door. And it evidently works just fine.

I have a wrecker (basically same as a winch from ceiling) and I just weave nylon straps through the door windows. But if you don't have access through the front windshield and back glass, you will need to remove the trans cover to weave one around the cab to keep it from tipping forward or backward for there's not a great way to keep the straps stable just running long ways from side to side lifting straight up.

Are the doors and glass still attached? I think 2 healthy guys could do it. Be much better with 4. If the doors, glass and seat are out cab weighs about 350.
