Adding tailgate step to 2017+ F250

I wish my truck came with the factory tailgate step.
Does anyone have a listing of part numbers needed to add the step and pole to a 2017+ Lariat F250 that didn't come with it?

I believe it requires a whole new tailgate. Check out an amp research bedstep.

I'd consider trying to find someone to trade tailgates. I know a lot of guys around me that have the tailgate step and HATE it, I'm sure there's someone out there wanting a non-step gate.

I'm ordering soon, what is to hate about the tail gate step? I was planning to add it.

Nothing. The older version stuck up a bit but this version is great.

I think it really is personal preference. When I say a lot of guys around here HATE them, it's probably that nearly all of them are in the trades and while they thought it would be a nice feature, after a few months they hate the rattle, the extra weight and the fact that their tailgate isn't as flat and smooth as a non-step. Not to mention the 3-piece plastic cap has loosened up on many of their trucks. As I said, this is mostly tradesman. My boss has a '16 with the step and while I really dislike it, he LOVES it because he no longer needs to carry a little step stool around in his back seat. To each their own. But my main point to OP is that plenty of people who have them don't like them, and someone would be glad to swap.

I'm just saying my truck is tall as hell and I need to get into bed all the time, I just want to add a factory step to it LOL
No one knows what part numbers are needed to add it? Even if I have to buy a whole tailgate I'll just sell my old (almost new) one.

As people have stated because several have looked into it - there are no part numbers to give because it cannot be added to a non step tailgate.
Your choices are AMP Research's step or to source a tailgate that has the step from the factory. A quick Google search doesn't turn up much. Ebay has some tailgates for this body style, but every one I've seen says "no step or camera".
