Ok so hot the new starter in and got the truck to fire lots of white smoke not coolant smell more like fuel. So I shut it down pulled the glow plugs harness and pulled the glow plugs and cranked it with the starter using the jumpwr got a big poof out of the lat glow plug on the passenger side. Had a little poof out of the front one but it went away as it cranked it for a second. So I am thinking I am going after we that last injector on the passenger side
Sounds like that injector has a bad o ring or o rings and possibly copper washer was compromised. Just a guess. Pull the valve cover off, pop the oil rail off, pull the injector and see if it has any issues. Keep it clean in there if you do it and don’t drop anything in the motor. If you aren’t comfortable doing that your best bet is taking it to a shop.

Thats what I did I am putting it back together right now. I am very comfortable working on my truck . I have done lots on it in the last three years I have owned it
Just an fyi - cranking a hydrolocked engine puts excess pressure on head gaskets since liquid is incompressible. That is why we suggested only cranking w/ the glow plugs out. Maybe bend a push rod also (although I have seen this debated).

Once I installed the starter I fired it for a second to make sure it was good then I pulled the glow plugs. And fired it with the starter. I saw that method on one of diseal tech Ron. I am pulling the glow plugs on the driver's side now going to try it on that side and see if I get fluid out of any of the cylinders.
Ok so the guys that did the work on this truck for the dealer I got it from we're stupid. They put rtv on the glow plug harness when they installed them and they didn't even repalce the harness which was broken at the little clips. So my front glow plug driver side is jacked the clip is broken. I took the fender well out and got in there with a long flat head was able to move it a little bit tried wiggling it and pulling on the wire and now the wire broke good time. Any hints on this one
