Power Point Cover on Dash

Has anyone removed the cover that hinges on the top from the power point on the dash of a 2017 or 2018 Super Duty?

I don't really see the need for it in my case as I keep something plug in most of the time so I'd like to take it off. I'm thinking it just snaps on but don't want to break it trying to pry it off. Maybe someone has some experience with it.

Maybe use a sawzall?

I removed it. It's hinged with a pins. Just push them in from both sides (there are holes in the ends of the cover).

Actually I use the lower 12v port for my phone charger cord and loop it over this opened cover when not in use, to keep it out of the snow melt slop on the floor mats.
