Sitting IDI
hey yall! I just bought a 7.3IDI and it's not getting fuel. Engine turns but won't fire, I think it's low compression however I don't know. It's been sitting in a field for 5 years. Do y'all know any tests/problems/solutions I could try. I know it could be a lot of things but right now I can't get her out unless I drive her out of the field so I just need a temporary fix to get me to drive the truck for about 15 minutes out of the field to my shop. Thanks!

There is a schraeder valve on the fuel filter assembly. If you depress this shchraeder valve (or remove the core) and crank the engine you should have fuel gush out. If there's no fuel while cranking the engine you need to figure out why your lift pump isn't working.
