Bill question GVW
Bill I may have a potential customer with a problem he has an F6 loaded with a pizza oven and it weighs in at 14,500 and he has spring problems and someone has Mickey Moused a late model V8 and auto trans in and now he has no parking brake, also he says a brake line has popped on it, I think in hauling it they got a chain around the brake line and broke it, he wants to replace it with another mickey mouse P 30 chassis with Chevy sheet metal this one would clock in at 16000 and some change, my suggestion is to find a truck of vintage that has a GVW to do this and leave it as built, there is a cherry 1964 F600 272, 4x2 trans and rear that would do the job but i haven't found the GVW on it, do you have the difference between the F6 and the F 600, the F6 ha s5 lug wheels and the F600 has the 6 lug wheels and 8.25 rubber.
I've looked around the internet and haven't found these figures, I'm sure there out there but I haven't found it.

No 272's after 1959. 1964 F600 could have a 292, but FT engines were introduced this year, so it could also have a 330/361/391.
