Almost maxed out the GVWR today, truck didn’t mind at all

So I had to pick up a pallet of salt to take to a customer 4 hours away. With everything else in the truck, it’s right at ~13,500 lbs, probably closer to 13,800 lbs with my helper tagging along. GVWR for the truck is 14,000 lbs.

Truck barely squatted and handled the load fine. The truck is obviously a little slower to accelerate, but it’s really not bad at all. It doesn’t feel much different than usual (usual weight is just under 11,000 lbs).

I had my truck at 14,400 before it felt soft but it held the load real well.. my f350 is gvrw at 10k but it's the 3 leaf with helper spring so probably identical to yours.. good to know it can do the load without an issue.

My last 2 CCLB F350 SRW were loaded to max GVWR 24/7 when I had the 8.5 utility box cleaned out then I would load it down with that days job, it took it without any complaints but because it was a SRW it was hard on rear tires.

I see the Florida DOT guys running trucks just like that with trailers in tow with skid steer on them. All 6.2's...

I have yet to not be impressed the the 6.2 and I am a die-hard GM guy.

A F350 can handle a heavy payload. Mine has Timbrens for assist. 5 to 7k, no problem. I once hauled about 9k lbs. from Houston to Louisiana. Was happy to get it off, but the truck did it.
The shipper SAID it only weighed 6k.....they lied !

Not sure if your referring to my post, I think it is just the factory one, I have never measured it to see.
