I have a 32" Lokar floor shifter on my C6 trans in my '56 coe. Beware if you have to mount the shifter all the way forward on the trans.
Lokar does not make a bell crank kit for the C6, only the C4.
Lokar support says the C4 kit won't work on the C6 and won't offer any suggestions as to how to remedy the situation.
I am buying the C4 kit and will modify it somehow to make it work.

Regards, Mark.

Hi guys,

and sorry to come back on this old thread, but does anyone know if it's better to use the trans mounted or the floor mounted (cable operated) shifter on an 53 Truck? The pre-owner got some - looks like - selfmade shifter to the C4, which is.. uly as hell and kills - my opinion - the complete look of the car. So I want to get something, which looks more old school original.

thanks.

cheers

Chris

I bought the Hurst Truck Unit knowing the handle would be low, but found the bend caused interference with my seat. I looked up Hurst Handles and bought the longest one I could find (I don't have the P/N). I cut the handle off below the housing cover and welded the longer handle on. Works great
