Sunroof need lube?

Does anyone lube their sunroof mechanism, where and with what product? Never had any problems with mine but can it hurt and maybe save a headache later?

I was told no by the service advisor but this was recommended to me by a member on another board:
Amazon Amazon

I will probably be using this soon to keep things working - I've had mine in three times for replacement due to broken tracks. Don't know if it will help or not.

I would worry about grease or oils attracting dirt which could actually cause the mechanism to fail due to the grittiness of the dirt. If I were to lube it I would use spray-on silicone which will dry and not let dirt stick to it.

I just started a new thread about a problem I had with mine. I did a search under moonroof and missed this. Mine jammed and their only explanation was "debris" and maybe should lube it.

When i took mine in for a jammed sunroof the Ford tech told me it needed to be lubed periodically. I watched several youtube videos saying the same. The recommendation was to wipe a silicone grease on the surfaces where the glass meets the rubber seals.
