I have a 2000 7.3 that the belt broke. Put a new one on and it will not start. This is not the first belt I have replaced. Just the first time it has not started right up.
How old was the belt? Could your ac compressor or other component be dragging causing slow rpm during crank. If rpm is not high enough it will not crank.

It cranks fine just acts like it is not getting any fuel.
There's a couple of sensors in there that might have gotten taken out. The CPS comes to mind, it's front of engine, passenger's side down on the front of the block, if that got taken out you'll not run.
