I just searched the Forscan spreadsheet and can't find it, so I am looking for a module name and line description to find it and try it. I will follow if someone can provide a reference.

It's the last page of the FORScan spreadsheet thread, Livinitup posted the info pertaining to an F150 for us folks to try.
If you made a tailgate ajar indicator active, how would it report the event? Is there an unused symbol on the dash that currently never lights up? Or, just something pop up on ththe productivity screen? I would like this capability.. Just trying to figure out how the truck would inform the driver.

Same way it alerts you to a door ajar or hood ajar. A box pops up and shows a warning on the IPC.
My Ultimate Lariat will be here in three weeks. After reading the threads about the mystery tailgate releases, this would be worth buying the OBD adapter for this alone.
I was making a funny. My reverse sensors go off when the tailgate is down. I did do a test by taking the cover off and manually opening the tailgate, as if it's being stolen. No alarm 😕. I have the push button type.
I disconnected the tailgate release button down by the parking brake and haven't had it release in the 9 months since. The dealer said the switch has had issues and the vibration from the parking brake activates it. I can use the button on the tailgate or my remote if I need to open it.

Is there a new switch that is less affected by vibration that was offered or available?
