My question is is it really worth it and I know what the response to that is... “is your truck worth it?!” And I know about the cyclops relay but the point is to save on some dough if a kill switch works if done right.. well has anyone had just a kill switch and has your truck got stolen with the switch engaged???
I have the cyclops. It is pretty much "invisible" to the untrained eye, and even then the thief wold need to know to look for it. As mentioned, you can't stop the guy with a tow truck.

can the starter solenoid be jumped with the cyclips? Not too worried about a tow truck..

Yes, but the IDM won't have any power to fire the injectors, so worst case they just burn up the starter or wear down the batteries trying to get it started.
I've had a cyclops fail on me, so keep that in mind too. It was a few years after I bought it. I discovered it by accident. Forgot to push the button and the truck started anyway. Tested multiple times and the relay had failed. They let me trade it in on a new one for no money, so that's worth a lot. Especially considering it wasn't exactly a new piece.
