Speedometer cable
I want to replace my speedometer cable, however when I look it up I see at least 3 different cable leinths listed

Any idea how to tell without pulling it first

1975 f250 4x4 c6 8ft bed regular cab
Speedometer cable goes into transfer case

I have the same truck as yours and just replaced the speedo cable about 6 months ago. The replacement cable I used was a Pioneer brand, P/N CA-3019. This cable is 118" long and just reaches the T-CASE. My truck had a fulltime (NP203) case when new that I replaced with a part time (NP205) 23 years ago. The OE cable worked for either one. Of the 3 lengths available the 2 shorter ones were not even close to being long enough.

I just went out and measured the old cable housing and it was indeed 118".

D4TZ-17260-N .. Speedometer Cable-Use with Full Time 4WD - 118 1/4" long / Obsolete

1974/79 F250 4WD C6.

NOS PARTS SOURCE in Olathe KS has 1 = 913-220-5746.

So...... the three lengths are for 2wd, married 4x4, divorced 4x4?

It is a devorced transfer case
but I have no clue how to tell if it is full time or part time
