I'm not sure of the regulations up here but imagine about the same, I see many being pulled over on the highways here now by the department of transport. I've never owned a big trailer..
Govt vehicles and equipment gets away with not being inspected.. which annoys me to no end...
Good afternoon men. You guys and your damn inspections. None of that crap back here, and that’s just fine with me! Waiting for the bug guy to show up, gotta get the daughter at school at 3, then run a few more errands.
No ANNUAL inspections in MD... but we do have emissions every 3 years I believe it is... it's just a $ maker for the state tho.... if no codes, no problem... but it sure ain't free either. No diesels require inspection either...just gas powered.
Trouble is that people were/are too lazy, don't know how. don't care, don't take their vehicles in for service or check ups. Most people never check the tire air pressure. That's why the Feds required the TPMS. Safety inspections are a good idea but, most inspections cater to EPA emissions requirements.
Like Bud mentioned, most of this crap is to get money for the gov't. NY State's "tire fee" charges $2.50/tire the tire places get to keep $.25 and have to dispose of the tire.
Good last morning of March 'braska..... Let's move out of this horribly cold spring and get into April showers.... not white crap - which we might get Monday!
