Another Operator Commanded Regeneration Question

I stumbled across a left over 2017 XL 6.7L on the lot that I have a least some limited interest in. I have searched and read many posts here about the Operator Commanded Regeneration option on XL and XLT trucks. But, I haven't been able to find a definite answer if the option can be added by the dealer if the truck wasn't ordered with it originally. So, I'll just ask for clarification, can the Operator Commanded Regeneration option be added by the dealer to an XL truck that wasn't originally ordered with it?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I believe it is a $250 factory option so you would have to ask a dealer. However, the Edge Insight CTS/CT2 monitors have that feature and it works well. The software FORScan will also do the manual regen. If you are not familiar with the process, you have to be in park, it is hot and loud and lasts about 20 minutes.

Thank you for the reply. I'll also take a look at the Edge Insight if I purchase the truck.
