Engine Bore

I prefer using a gasket that is not so much larger than the bore itself, I'm honestly not sure why they go so large on them. Quench is better with a tighter gasket.
Pretty much any head gasket for a stock application is fine with proper prep and procedure (clean out bolt chases, block and head surface prep, bolt torque pattern, etc) but if you really want the best of the best buy a set of MLS gaskets and a quality set of bolts/studs.

Really? I've only seen some pretty robust blocks when it comes to sbfs, I've bored probably 3 dozen to 4.06 personally.

And the 351c. Some of those blocks don't have enough meat on the thrust side at standard bore to build a performance engine, or so I've read. We've all dodged the bullet over the years but personally, I would sonic test anything that's getting bored .060, just for the peace of mind/
