head gaskets?

I am rebuilding a 351w. I have a set of Felpro gaskets for the head. I have read that you can use aluminum spray paint to seal the head gaskets. Is this still needed with the new gaskets?

I never put anything on my gaskets when I resealed my 351w, and that was on friday, no leaks either, so I'd venture towards no

The head gaskets should seal just fine on their own.

I believe Felpro suggests dry
