So I have an issue with power to the window, radio, instrument cluster dome light, I believe that is all that is affected. Randomly i will lose power to these items, it will go off then back on until today. Unfortunately I have a window down and cant roll it up. Checked fuses and are good. I did have a viper alarm and remote start installed last July but this just started about four weeks ago. Any ideas? Thanks
I'd first replace the fuse even if it looks good. Had you replaced the overhead lamps recently?
I'm not up on the later model trucks, but I though a few years back someone had similar issues and it was related to the gauge cluster. I may be whacked on that.
Pretty sure on later builds a lot of that stuff is controlled through the instrument cluster.
Yours does not have the GEM module like mine does. There was a thread here about a month ago of a similar problem, not sure what the fix was but that was mentioned as a possible fix.

Doesn't sound exactly like mine but I had a ground in the drivers door harness start breaking in my 07 half ton. Never lost Cluster but would lose power to locks and windows - intermittent at first, then progressing to full loss of function. Something to keep in your back pocket if better leads don't pan out.
OP, you might want to “step” your 30 amp relays. By that I mean go to the power panel and take out the top left relay. Take each subsequent one and move it to the vacant slot. Then put the the first one in the last open slot. That should verify it is not a relay problem and if you want to go back, it is easy to do.
Thanks for the replies. I have not replaced any lights. I will try replacing the fuse and try the relay thing and see what happens. It was only doing it about once a week but in the last two days its gone on and off close to a dozen times.
Fuse 33 for cluster, 4x4, and wipers is a key one to check. Try replacing it. Wiggle it and see if you hear relays click. The radio, etc, turn on when the cluster says to, it's the same system that keeps them on after you turn off the engine but haven't opened the door yet. It could be a loose socket where the fuse goes, or a bad fuse there .
Do a search on instrument cluster failures, symptoms sound just like yours.
My sons truck did similar things, had the cluster rebuilt, all is good now.

You hit the nail on the head. So I finally just took it in to the dealer and they called me yesterday and said it was the instrument cluster. Its going to cost me 900 parts and labor. I am just glad it is fixed. Thanks for everyone's help.

Why have you not given https://circuitboardmedics.com/ a call.
They support FTE and have a much better price than any dealer.

It became a time issue. I wanted it fixed, been working a lot and in the middle of helping my son rebuild his 5.4. Plus normal honey do list. But I do appreciate the info. I have them bookmarked.
